Ingredients:
Grated Carrot : 4 Cups
Ghee : 2 Cups
Milk : 3 Cups
Sugar : 1 Cup
Almonds or cashew nuts : Few
Saffron or cardamom powder for flavour.
Method of Preparation:
Sauté the grated carrots in ghee. Add milk and cool till very soft. Add sugar, simmer for while till sugar dissolves and the mixer thickens. Add saffron or cardamom powder. Garnish with flaked almonds or cashew nuts. Serve hot or cold as desired.
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice : 2 Cups
Cinnamon Sticks Broken : 1”
Bay leaves and cloves : 2 each
Warm water : 4 Cups
Black pepper corns : 1 Teaspoon
Finely sliced onions : 6 Nos.
Ghee : 4 Tablespoons
Salt to taste.
Method of preparation:
Heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed pan till hot. Add the whole spices and fry for few seconds. Add onion slices and sauté for few seconds on high flame. Heat and sauté on medium / low flame till the onions are transparent and soft.
Add rice and sauté for few seconds. Pour warm water and add salt. Bring to a boil, cover and cook on a low flame for 15 minutes or till the rice have done and all the water is evaporated. Now your ghee rice is ready to serve.
